DEED INDENTURE

BETWEEN

 CORNELIUS AND SUSANNAH BOWMAN AND JOHN PINKSTON

     This indenture made this thirtieth day of May in the year of our Lord 1810 between Cornelius Bowman Sr., and Susannah Bowman of the County of Madison and Commonwealth of Kentucky of the one part and John Pinkston (or Penston) of the  County and commonwealth of the aforesaid of the other part witnesseth that the said Cornelius Bowman Sr. and Susannah Bowman for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds current money of Kentucky in hand paid to Elijah Bowman at and before the ensealing and delivering these presents by the said John Pinkston the receipt whereof were hereby acknowledged and every part and parcel thereof and we do by these presents the said Pinkston acquit exonerate and forever discharge both given granted bargained and sold unto the said John Pinkston his heirs and assigns forever one certain tract or parcel of land containing fifty acres situated lying and being in the county of Madison and state of Kentucky on and adjoining to King’s branch the waters of Muddy Creek being the lower and of his land said branch and bounded as follows,,,_________, Beginning at a white oak the southeast corner of Femings premtion thence with the same west 18 poles to a hickory in said line hence north 13 west 19 poles to a dogwood thence south 80 east 8 poles to a stake and two white oaks Poynters thence north 40 poles to two hickories in fencings premtion line thence with the same south 4 east 224 poles to the beginning with all and singular the rights and privileges and appurtenances as to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining to him the said John Pinkston his heirs and asaigns as a clear undefeasible estate in fee simple absolute to all intents and purposes as can be held or enjoyed by the said John Pinkston  and we the said Cornelius and Susannah Bowman for ourselves and our heirs doth further covenant and agree to and with the said John Pinkston that we will warrant and forever defend the legal rights and title in and to the said land against all lawfull claims of all manner of persons whatsoever to the only use and behalf of him the said John Pinkston his heirs and assigns forever.  In witness wherof the said Cornelius Bowman, Sr. and Susannah Bowman both herunto set their hand and affixed seal the day and date above written signed, sealed and delivered.

     I do hereby certify that this Indenture was produced to me as clerk of the court for the county aforesaid on the 2nd day of July 1810 which was acknowledged by Cornelius Bowman and to be his act and deed and the same has been duly recorded in my office.
