Granville Noble

Booneville, Ky - Granville Noble, 82 of Lerose passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2003 at St Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born February 3, 1920 in Cow Creek (Owsley County) to the late Harlan and Esther McIntosh Noble. He was a U S Army Veteran, a retired farmer and a former DES Coordinator for Owsley County. Granville also was a member of the Shoulderblade Regular Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge.

He is survived by his wife, Bertha Mae Johnson Noble of Lerose, KY; two brothers, Luther and Ray Noble both of Brookville, IN; three sisters, Edna Herald of Booneville, KY, Nettie McIntosh of Plymouth, MI and Bertha Buchold of Springfield, OH; and a host of friends and relatives. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Lucy Johnston and Lillie Mae Turner.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Booneville Funeral Home with the Rev Paul Turner. Visitation with Masonic Rites will be Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Burial with Military Rites will be in the "Watt" Johnson Cemetery, with the Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
