"The right honorable Thomas ,Lord Fairfax, Baron of Cameron in the land of Great Britain called Scotland, proprietor of the Northern Neck of Va. to all to whom this is present writing shall come sends greeting
Know ye that in consideration of the composition to me paid and for the annual sent hereafter reserved, I have given, granted and confirmed and by these presents for me, my heirs and assigns I give grant and confirm until Samuel Isaacs of the county of Fredrick a certain tract of vast and emigrated land in the said county, bounded by a survey thereof made by Mr. George Washington as follows:
Beginning at 2 white oaks and corner to Sunne Foster,in Missus Carter's line and extending thence with the Fosters lines 6 degree E, 23 poles to Mary Oakley Fosters house , thence 30 degrees E 204 poles to a hickory tree and small white oak, thence leaving his lines and extending 57 degrees SW, 320 poles to 2 small locusts and a hickory in a rich spot of ground, thence 5 degrees, 31 degrees North, 206 poles to 5 red oak saplings in said Carter line, thence with their line 5 degrees 56 E, 308 poles to the beginning, containing 415 acres together with all the rights, members and appurtenances there unto belonging Royal Mine Co., excepted and a full third parcel of all lead, copper, zinc, coal, iron and iron ore, that shall be found thereon, to have and to hold these 415 acres of land together with all rights , benefits and profits to the same belonging or in anywise apptaining except to him, the said Samuel Isaacs, his heirs, assigns, forever. He, the said Samuel Isaacs , his heirs assigns therefore yielding and paying to me , my heirs or assigns or to my certain attorney or agents, proprietor of the said Northern Neck. Yearly and every year on the feast day of St. Michael, the archangel, the fee sent of one shilling sterling money for every fifty acres of land hereby granted and so proportionately for a greater or lesser quantity. Provided that if the said Samuel Isaacs, his heirs or assigns shall not pay the before reserved annual rent, so that the same or any part thereof shall be behind or unpaid in the space of 2 whole years, after the same shall become due if lawfully demanded, that then it shall and maybe lawful for me, my heirs or assigns, proprietors as aforesaid , any or their certain attorneys into the above granted premises to reenter and hold the same as if this grant had never passed.

“ This indenture made the second Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven between Godfrey Isaacs of the County of Fredrick and Colony of Virginia of the one part and David Ashby of the same place of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the
sum of 5 shilling s current money of Virginia the said GODFREY ISAACS in hand
paid by the said David Ashby at or before the sealing and Delivery of these
presents the receipt whereof he doth acknowledge he the said GODFREY ISAACS hath
hereby demised and to farm let and by these presents doth Grant demise and to
farm let unto the said David Ashby a certain tract or parcel of land lying on
the north side of the main Road. Leading from Bucks Marsh to Ashby's Gap in
Fredrick County, which said land was willed to the said GODFREY ISAACS by his
father SAMUEL ISAACS, being part of a tract of land taken up patented and
possessed by the said Samuel Isaacs in his lifetime and bounded as follows:
Beginning at a small locust and hickory on the
south side of the road on ELIJAH ISAACS land and in the line of the original
survey extending thence 57 degrees, west 170 poles to two locusts and a hickory
mentioned in the original patent from thence south 31 west 1206 poles to 5 red
oaks in Carter's line,also mentioned in Samuel Isaacs patent ,only one of the
red oaks is now dead and going to decay, from thence south 56 ,154 poles with
Carter’s line to a Red Oak sapling standing on the north side of the road,
thence 25 degrees east, 174 poles with the main road to a Hickory and Locust bush
close on the side of the road, thence 53degrees east 33poles still with the main
road to a white oak sapling on the southside of the road ,then 36 degrees
east,115 poles still along the main road to the beginning containing 192 acres
more or less
This indenture made this third day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty seven between Godfrey Isaacs of the County of Fredrick and Colony of Virginia of the one part and David Ashby of the same place of the other part.
Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of one hundred pounds current Virginia money to the said GODFREY ISAACS in hand paid by the said David Ashby at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents

Godfrey Isaacs was in the Rev. War, he is mentioned in a declaration for a pension request given by a Matthew Sparks, the only documentation found so far
He say this corps consisted of 3 or 4 companies of footmen and was commanded by Major Hardgrove of Wilkes Co. NC, GODFREY ISAACS was one of the Captains”

“First in the Vincent section was Samuel Isaacs, who settled just over the gap of Duckfork Creek.
None of the early settlers seemed to have chosen the Levi Fork of Buck Creek, but we find at a later date Jacob Isaacs, son of Godfrey and Elijah Isaacs, son of Samuel”
